A fascinating collection of unusual fruit trees and produce including six varieties of apple, four types of fig and North & South American Myrtaceas, Saskatoon berries & cherry guavas, white sapote, fruiting palm, custard apple & many berries. These are just a few of the impressive collection.
Veggies are in raised garden beds and there are succulents and annuals dispersed throughout the garden and under the pergola. Many are planted in ceramic pots that are made by the owner. There is also a Queensland Bottle Tree in the front garden.
This garden has been on Gardening Australia and featured in The Sydney Morning Herald in an article by Meghan Backhouse.
There are two other productive gardens opening in Footscray on this same day. Visit Francisco and Michael's Garden and Marcus and Jen's Productive Garden.
David's Productive Garden is located on the lands of the Wurundjeri and Bunurong people. Open Gardens Victoria wish to acknowledge the Traditional custodians and we pay respect to their Elders, past, present and emerging.
