Do not be deceived by this small garden because in it are many creative ways to grow food!

The owners have chosen to grow veggies in raised beds surrounded by wisteria planted to grow on the nearby pergola.

There are many insect attracting plants and a shaded damp area to grow ferns and an indoor collection of plants and mushrooms. Maple cherry wood and gum logs have been prepared to grow Shitake mushrooms showing a novel use for planting.

This garden is a great example of what can be achieved and produced in a very small space.

There will be food and drinks prepared from garden produce available on the day.

There are two other productive gardens opening in Footscray on this same day. Why not also visit Francisco and Michael's Food Garden and David's Productive Garden.

Marcus and Jen's Productive Garden is located on the lands of the Wurundjeri and Bunurong people. Open Gardens Victoria wish to acknowledge the Traditional custodians and we pay respect to their Elders, past, present and emerging.
