Cottage gardens embrace an 1850s bluestone farmhouse and outbuildings, once part of the German settlement of Westgarthtown.  The garden features a magnificent wisteria and many rose varieties including a 130-year-old 'Cecile Brunner'.  The garden is ablaze with flowers in spring.

Complimentary Ziebell's Farmhouse Garden Guide, Ziebell's Farmhouse Guide and Westgarthtown Heritage Walk will be available at the entrance to enhance your understanding of the oldest surviving German built house and garden in Victoria.

Supervised off street parking will be available in German Lane, Lalor. Walking paths and signage to Ziebell's Farmhouse indicate the direction of Ziebell's Farmhouse, as well as the Thomastown Lutheran church and cemetery. Both the cemetery and church will also be open.

Sausage sizzle at the entrance gate. Tea, coffee, and refreshments available.

Plant and Book Stalls.

Note: Parking in Westgarthtown Reserve, off German Lane, between Mount View Road and Gardenia Road.

Garden notes are written by the garden owners to describe their garden.  Download and print to bring when you visit the garden.
