Yarrabee is an Aboriginal word meaning ‘place of many gums’. It is a sprawling garden with winding paths covering five acres with stunning examples of mass plantings of native and exotic species.

The quirky designs of the beds and creative use of recycled materials provide vibrant colour and interest in this lovingly cultivated garden.

The owners have developed the garden over 30 years from flood prone farmland, building ponds, bridges and a large dam all connected with accessible paths and numerous seating options.

The garden provides excellent examples of sustainable plantings in the driest areas, which have been carefully selected to suit the dry and windy climate of the area.

We also boast a garden sculpture - including examples of local artist, Helen Hammond’s Limestone work.

You can find more about this garden via Facebook - Yarrabee Native Garden.
