Originally built in 1858 by Scottish stonemasons, Vale Hill has an intriguing history. Destroyed by fire in 1978, the property has been lovingly resurrected by the previous and current owners.

This magnificent property sprawls elegantly over 10 acres, with landscaping over numerous levels and 5 acres of edible gardens that supply local restaurants with top quality produce.

The gold fields history of the area is reflected in aspects of the garden design with striking piles of white quartz, representing the spoil tips that dot the surrounding landscape. Other sculptural elements abound from free standing pieces to the quirky details on custom built gates.

Meandering pathways take the visitor past impressive hedges, shady established trees, vast orchards, raised rose gardens, sprawling native garden beds and numerous inviting spaces to pause and admire the stunning views of the surrounding area.

The garden owners will run guided tours around the property at 11am, 1.00pm and 3.00pm on each day.

Some of the proceeds from the opening will be donated to Movember.

Please be aware that there is a walk to get to this garden up a long driveway and there are flights of stairs, but there will be a shuttle transporting people where needed. Parking is on the country road.
