The Stones is a charming rustic garden surrounding a beautiful stone cottage.

The garden rambles and surprises at each turn. There are no straight lines to be seen! Another surprise is a series of unusual cactus gardens which still blends in well with the gentleness of this garden.

The plantings are resilient and are mainly old-world plants. This suits this cottage and the trees change with the seasons. The Paulownia is especially beautiful.

This garden will be abundant with spring colour and fragrance at the time of the opening.

Friends of Wombat Hill Botanic Gardens Nursery will run a big plant sale across both days of the opening. The Friends is a lively and dedicated group formed in 1995 with the aim of promoting and supporting Wombat Hill Botanic Gardens in Daylesford.

There'll be a very vintage CWA style morning tea with lamingtons and cakes to enjoy.

PLEASE NOTE: there is no parking within The Stones. All parking allocations are on the roadside and front entrance.
The owners will make some exceptions for the elderly, or for those who may not be able to walk up the driveway to the garden (about two hundred meters).
