Terry’s eclectic garden on a suburban house block has evolved since 1994 and is home to a myriad of roses including David Austin, Delbard, Hybrid Teas and heritage roses, as well as a variety of citrus and fruit trees.
Medicinal plants, including Ajuga reptans, Borage, Comfrey, Foxgloves, Herb Robert, Lavender, Oregano, Rosemary, Sage officinalis, Self Heal, Thyme, Vietnamese Mint, Verbena and Yarrow share beds with Salvias, perennial and native plant species, including native grasses.
Everything in the garden is designed to encourage birds, beneficial insects and other wildlife. The garden is drought proofed with tanks holding a capacity of 26,000 litres of water.
Please note: There will be plant sales on the front verandah and public toilets are available near the Syndal shops.
The Cottage Garden is located on the lands of the Wurundjeri people. Open Gardens Victoria wish to acknowledge the Traditional custodians and we pay respect to their Elders, past, present and emerging.
