Phillip Johnson’s garden Billabong Falls was the inspiration for the ‘Trailfinders Australian Garden’ that won Best in Show at Chelsea Flower Show 2013.
Phillip specialises in the establishment of environmentally sustainable billabongs, natural (chemical free) swimming pools and water features that are replenished by stormwater, set within naturalistic landscapes where rock is used to spectacular effect.
Be mesmerised by the sheer grandeur of the surrounding Mountain Ash and ancient tree ferns in this garden.
The landscape is a sanctuary for native plants and animals, promoting health and wellbeing in a natural setting that supports water sustainability in our ever-changing climate. Features include native plantings, naturalistic waterfalls, dry riverbeds and billabongs that are fed by driveway and roof water runoff around the house and the design studio. The garden also exhibits timber walkways, stepping stones, an outdoor shower, and much more!
Additional activities:
- Sausage sizzle all day on both days being held by the local CFA
- Plant sales on Saturday
- Phillip’s Design Studio will be open to the public for the weekend
