We're excited again to be partnering with 3000acres to present this series of small, guided tours through some very lush and abundant inner city productive gardens. Tickets must be booked in advance through Trybooking and spaces are limited.
Mary’s productive cottage garden is focused on sustainability. The garden produces enough food for the household and the chickens; compost and the worm farm help to process food waste and enrich the soil.
Using recycled materials, Mary continues to add elements to the garden including a native bee hotel, a fairy garden for the grandchildren and significant bee-attracting plants to help increase pollination of the veggies. The sustainability focus of the garden spills over into the use of 22 solar panels and 5000 litres of water storage.
