This garden is situated on the land in front of the wonderful old butter factory and incorporates structures and bits and pieces from there.

It is a perennial garden with a silver theme which is a foil for the hot Maryborough summers.  Many of the beds surround taller shrubs like Buddlia Crispa or industrial cast offs from the factory. The garden is mainly flat with two sunken areas that add interest, form and practicability, one being used as a cooler summer area and the other as a herb growing area.

This dry garden, which is only eight years old, has been totally created from a derelict piece of land and shows what can be done in an unforgiving climate with hard work and a love of gardens.

Some of the proceeds from this garden will go to the Millhouse Neighbourhood House.
