This suburban block packs a punch with beautifully designed spaces for all the family. The garden is designed with curved garden seating and the use of timber decking as well as plantings that are not uniform, which strives to enhance and soften the modern building.

There is an interesting vegetable area using large concrete tubs as containers, and the concrete seating that was poured in situ.

Cleverly planted trees and underplanting surround an undulating front lawn area.

The back area with hard surfaces uses curves with a separate area for reflection, or just a quiet sit.

This garden demonstrates the juxtaposition of hard surfaces with soft and varied plantings as well as shows how to use colour and texture to add places of interest.

Rick Molino, the garden designer, will be in attendance on both days.

King Garden is located on the lands of the Wurundjeri people. Open Gardens Victoria wish to acknowledge the Traditional custodians and we pay respect to their Elders, past, present and emerging.
