With super tough plants at its core, discover the beauty of one of Anglesea's hidden gardens nestled within Point Roadnight. Despite its youth, this sprawling garden has flourished into a haven of low-care coastal-tolerant flora, including native plants that paint a picture of the local landscape. You may not find a lot of pretty flowers, you will, however, discover a simple composition of compatible plants, helping bring cohesion with simplicity.

Crafted to embrace the expansively sized block, the garden artfully combines open space with cozy corners, skilfully weaving together areas of abundance and tranquillity. Meandering pathways guide you through these garden rooms, each space transitioning seamlessly through gentle steps and inviting paths. It doesn't take much to picture what another five years will offer this garden.

Finding a balance between form and function, one key aspect of this horticultural haven is a flourishing vegetable patch shielded by the sanctuary of the rear garden. Homegrown values take root here as a thoughtful composting system works in harmony with growing food.

The garden plays the perfect companion and completion to a recently completed low-laying house, an elegant coexistence that respects the original fibro structure and frames enchanting vistas from within the new home.

Inspiration can be found in this garden for any garden, as it balances aesthetics and functionality. This low-maintenance landscape caters to both leisure and purpose. Ample room for family activities merges harmoniously with bountiful vegetable cultivation. Whether seeking solace or sustenance, this Anglesea garden offers an inviting sanctuary for all.

There will be a local basket maker onsite at this opening who will be collecting materials and making baskets. Also one of the garden owners, Maria, is also a textile artist so will have her work on sale. Check out her Instagram page @apiecefullife.

This garden was designed by Ocean Road Landscaping and some of the proceeds from this garden will be donated to the Asylum Seeker Resource Centre.

There is a shuttle bus parking option further up the road from this garden.

Jamboree is located on the lands of the Wadawurrung people. Open Gardens Victoria wish to acknowledge the Traditional custodians of this land and we pay respect to their Elders, past, present and emerging.
