The picturesque garden of "Homelea" has stunning vistas to nearby mountains. Nestling beside the Serpentine Creek it is just outside Maffra in East Gippsland.

Visitors are enticed down grassed pathways and invited to sit and admire the island beds of fragrant roses.

With over three acres of beautiful ornamental trees, rows of silver birches, lush, emerald grass and quaint seating areas this idyllic garden complements the traditional home perfectly. Wisteria and grape vines wind their way around fences while roses and kiwi vine ramble over arbors. As you enter, you are greeted by a small pond filled with water iris surrounded by bulbs and low growing plants and sculptures. A larger pond, surrounded by newly planted natives leads down to the "Serp" where a scattering of rocks create a "beach" setting, perfect for a picnic overlooking the creek.

Rustic gates, an old dairy and vintage machinery pay homage to homelea's past life as a farm. Painted rocks and quirky mosaics, as well as a towering cactus, pay homage to Di's artistic talents. The garden is a testament to Di's love of her Garden. Both Di and Ron's attention to detail in this charming garden will no doubt enchant its visitors.

Proceeds from this opening support the Care from Caity Appeal.

Portable toilets will be onsite and there is plenty of parking.
