This will be the last occasion for quite some time that Karen will be opening her garden to a wide audience
![3000logo](uploads/3000logo.jpg)
This is the inspiring urban food garden of designer Karen Sutherland. More than 200 edible and useful plants are displayed in an ornamental setting: herbs, vegetable, vines, citrus, fruit and nut trees, South American edible species and Australian native food plants. The 13m x 35m garden also has aquaponics, rooftop bees and gardens, chickens, quails and interesting nature strip plantings.
There will also be free talks by Karen both days, and sales of rare edible plants (including natives), Karen's honey, and signed copies of Karen’s new co-authored book Tomato – know sow grow feast.
This is also your last opportunity for the foreseeable future to meet and see Karen in her own garden at Gunyah. Over the next few years Karen will be implementing a few different projects, and will have a new and different story to tell when she next opens to a wider audience.
Karen's talks will be held at: 11.00am and 2.00pm
The local community garden is also having a stall of food and drinks made with garden produce.
Please be aware: there are bees in this garden
Karen's new book, co-written with Penny Woodward and Janice Sutton, is currently the 2nd best selling gardening book in Australia!
