Welcome to Creeting Lodge which dates back to 1926 and was constructed by architect Marcus Martin. The towering golden Cypress pines that greet you at the entrance have been there longer, standing for over 150 years.
The garden is a collaboration with Myles Baldwin Design, embodying a variety of European and Mediterranean tree and plant species. New species include hornbeams, teddy bear magnolias, crepe myrtle, forest pansy, black and white figs, loquat and mature olive trees. To accompany these, a variety of plans have been planted, such as European fan palm, Chinese windmill, phoenix sylvestris and Dracaena Draco.
The Creeting Lodge estate is a blend of timeless architecture and rich horticulture, offering visitors a unique sensory experience and a glimpse into its historic charm. It’s more than just a property; it’s a journey through architectural design and the magnificent beauty of nature.
Some of the proceeds from this opening will be donated to The McClelland Sculpture Park and Gallery.
Creeting Lodge is located on the lands of the Bunurong people. Open Gardens Victoria wish to acknowledge the Traditional custodians of this land and we pay respect to their Elders, past, present and emerging.
