ABC Organic Gardener writer and chicken expert Jessamy Miller will present this essential workshop for anyone wanting to keep healthy, happy chooks in a suburban backyard.
Drawing on years of experience, Jessamy will explain how to build a home for your chooks that will protect them from the weather and potential predators. Learn what to feed your chooks to keep them healthy and productive egg layers – plus clever tips to keep them busy and happy. Jessamy will teach the essentials of chicken first aid and how to make sure you stay within local council rules for keeping chooks in your own backyard.
The format of both sessions will be:
- 1 hour talk
- 30 minutes morning or afternoon tea and questions
