Meet Fiona and see how she and David Swann have created a tranquil oasis for her family and friends with a clever sequence of small spaces linking internal and outdoor spaces.
The garden at ‘37 FBR’ by Fiona Brockhoff Design is an inner city garden designed for everyday living. It also provides shelter and outdoor space for pets and birdlife.
The series of small spaces link beautifully with the borrowed landscape of the adjacent areas, as well as the colour palate of the interior.
Garden features include plants selected to provide texture, colour and foliage, courtyards that merge with interior spaces, a unique plunge pool, and landscape materials and artworks which thoroughly engage the senses.
Other local activities and places of interest include:
- Prahran Market
- Cafes, restaurants and fashion outlets throughout Toorak Road and Chapel Street
- Yarra River walk and cycleway: Macrobertson Bridge to City
- Royal Botanic Gardens Victoria Melbourne
There will also be book sales at the garden for: Influential Australian Garden People: Their Stories by Anne Vale (Sale price $30 – books donated by Anne Vale) http://www.heriscapes.com.au/home/publications/
All proceeds will be donated to Burwood Heights Primary School and Kindergarten.
