Binchy's Garden is a collection of many rare and endangered Grevillea species that the garden owner has collected over 20 years. Most have been hand grafted onto Grevillea robusta to help grow in the Victorian conditions.
The mix of Grevillea and other species creates a microclimate and this also helps with habitat for the local wildlife.
This garden features raised garden beds to help with drainage and visual appeal for the eyes. It has been created so it can be explored and viewed from different angles and designed in a way where it blends in with the surrounds and looks natural. There’s a lovely mix of flowers and colours and it has not only been created for visual appeal, but also most importantly as a habitat and a source of food and water for the local wildlife.
The owner has created this garden to help inspire other people to hopefully get into Australian native plants and create their own native habitat garden at home.
Plants will be available for sale at this opening.
Please note: the nearest toilets are at local Dalyston Football oval. There is also parking at our local park just around the corner if needed.
