The Rowe Garden is a two-and-a-half-acre garden that is situated on a slope with stunning views of surrounding hills.

The garden owners engaged the expertise of Genevieve Milham of Plane Trees to design the garden over four years ago and they were lucky to have a handful of mature trees (some have been successfully transplanted) including a mature, majestic elm in the turning circle, and two very large weeping myrtles.

The garden is bordered by a large variety of bird attracting natives and there is a striking birch walk, including a fountain which adds formality.

A major feature of this garden is the extensive granite stonework. Libby and Michael engaged local stonemasons who worked on and off for about 12 months to develop garden beds, the turning circle, retaining walls and the facia for the new swimming pool.

This garden is a great example of the vibrant autumn colours this district is renowned for. Some of the proceeds from this opening will be donated to The Stanley Post Office.

Open Gardens Victoria wish to acknowledge the Traditional custodians of this land and we pay respect to their Elders, past, present and emerging.
