Through the lynch gate clothed in roses, and behind the picket fence, lies a compact cottage garden. Garden beds are linked by meandering grass paths which are filled with salvias, roses, perennials and shrubs. This garden is a delight for the senses.
More than 75 different varieties of roses feature in the garden, together with an extensive collection of salvias. In autumn, the garden is a riot of colour, including the various plectranthus that also flower at this time.
At the rear, once again all available space abounds with planting, with more roses and perennials, raised vegetable beds, and more than a dozen fruit trees underplanted with shade-loving plants.
This is a beautiful and productive garden that thrives on tank and recycled water, good compost and mulching practices.
Garden notes are written by the garden owners to describe their garden.
