In this session, you'll explore the property's sprawling food forest, orchard and berry patch. Justin will discuss the variety of fruit that can be grown in the backyard, including the level of difficulty, size limitations and training habits. For those thinking of adding a few fruit trees to their backyard, this workshop is the perfect opportunity to see what's possible and learn some tips and tricks for success.
About Justin Calverley
Justin Calverley is a horticultural expert with more than 20 years' experience. He is the author of The Urban Farmer and teaches a popular course of the same name at CERES in Brunswick East. For this session, Justin will be demonstrating his fruit tree knowledge in a sprawling Reservoir food forest and orchard complete with front yard food forest, berry patch, espaliered fruit trees and nut trees. Chooks roam through a free range orchard at the back and kiwi and grape vines keep the outdoor seating area cool through summer.
