This is a great chance to see Gunyah before it takes a break from opening. The next public opening won't be until 2019, so make sure you take this opportunity!
Gunyah is the inspiring urban food garden of designer Karen Sutherland. More than 200 edible and useful plants are displayed in an ornamental setting: herbs, vegetable, vines, citrus, fruit and nut trees, South American edible species and Australian bush foods. The 13m x 35m garden also has aquaponics, rooftop gardens, bees, chickens, and interesting nature strip plantings.
There will be talks on native herbs, bush foods and perennial vegetables from 11.00-12.00 am and 2.30-3.30 pm each day, and regular guided tours of the garden.

Pop-up Nursery - Rare Edible Plants for Sale!
The Open Garden is the opportunity to buy from the rare and unusual edible plants Karen has collected and grown over the past year! The range has increased over the 6 years opening Gunyah Garden, and this year there is a fantastic range of rarely offered or never usually sold varieties.
All sales are for cash only and there will also be a range of small tools, honey from Karen's garage rooftop bees (look out for Bee TV when you visit) and refreshments available on the day. Part of the gate taking and refreshment sales go to the West Brunswick Community Garden and Food Forest to help them in their good work.
