We're excited again to be partnering with 3000acres to present this series of small, guided tours through some very lush and abundant urban productive gardens. Tickets must be booked in advance through Trybooking and spaces are limited.

Greg's Garden is a residential garden in the inner northern suburb of Fawkner.

When Greg moved into the property in 2014, the backyard (approximately 0.1 hectare) was completely neglected. He saw the potential to exercise his green thumb and expand his passion for growing plants and vegetables.

Today, the garden is an oasis full of natives, exotic and colourful plant varieties, as well as a thriving edible landscape. Greg draws on a vast array of new and traditional farming techniques to optimise soil health and create a diverse ecosystem. The free flow and freedom in Greg's Garden allows for an unexpected and joyful combination of veggie patches, unusual edibles, natives, cottage gems and the ever-increasing presence of animals and insects.

Greg's Garden is dedicated to his Brazilian mother and grandmother who are both passionate gardeners and remain a constant source of inspiration.

Please note:

  • Not wheelchair / pram accessible
  • Getting there: Plenty of free parking on the street, or the garden is a 15 minute walk from Fawkner station. Bus #530 – Campbellfield Plaza/Sydney Road has a stop on the corner of Lorne and Lesleigh Streets. Bike riding: through Upfield Bike Path or Merri Creek Trail
