This is a 4-year old garden on a subdivided block. It is a fine example of blending old and new vegetation, retaining a beautiful large Eucalypt in the front with completely new plantings elsewhere.
Feng Shui principles have been adhered to in the design of the garden with Eastern Inspired spaces for meditation, yoga and painting.
The garden is comprised of three distinct areas:
- a tranquil entrance with calming water
- a herb area and the rear garden entertaining zone
- a swimming pool cleverly camouflaged by seasonal plantings
Cecilia is a Botanical artist who uses her garden for inspiration in her painting and plants to maximise flowers in bloom at all times of the year. Cecilia has exhibited her paintings extensively and run workshops across Australia, including at the Botanical gardens in Cairns. Her watercolours will be available for discounted purchase at the opening.
Cecilia's Garden is located on the lands of the Bunurong People. Open Gardens Victoria wish to acknowledge the Traditional custodians of this land and we pay respect to their Elders, past, present and emerging.
Extra Activities in the Area:
- Lots of nearby cafes.
- Church Street and Hampton street shopping
- Dendy Street Beach
