This delightful garden surrounds a beautifully restored 1860s gentleman's residence.

Visitors step back in time as they enter through imposing replicas of the original 1860 cast iron gates. If the garden beyond looks as if it fits hand in glove with the house, it does indeed - the owners have followed the original layout wherever they can, based on photographs from the 19th century.

Past the formal front garden, gravel paths ramble through layers of planting to reveal hidden delights.

A 45-foot long covered walkway of Ornamental Grape (Vitus vinifera) provides summer cool and autumn colour, while a quartz gravel walkway ends in a charming sunken garden with seating and overhanging fruit trees.

The many deciduous trees will be in full autumn glory at the opening.

Please take the opportunity to visit other garden openings in the Goldfields this weekend:

Garden notes are written by the garden owners to describe their garden.  Download and print to bring when you visit the garden.
