Designer Paul Bangay and the garden owner rejuvenated this beautiful, park-like garden in 2006. Banool is a historically significant stone home, graced by mature trees including Copper beech, Pin oaks, American red oak, magnolias, cedars and firs on approximately 1.7 acres.

Wide beds of primarily white flowers include viburnums, hellebores, David Austin roses, hydrangeas, philadelphus and daphne, set amongst hedges and perennials. Copper swings (Myburgh) adorn many trees, and rusted sculptures are placed throughout. A formal vegetable patch has been recently added as well as a citrus walk and flower picking beds to provide additional interest.

We last opened Banool in 2017 and it featured on ABC Gardening Australia in May 2014. You can find out more information via the Banool Garden website or via Instagram or Facebook.

There will be entertainment in the gardens on both afternoons, morning and afternoon teas, as well as plant, topiary and metal garden stakes sculptured by the owner for sale. The garden owner will give talks on each day of this opening. Times TBC.

Peaceful Heart is also opening nearby over this same weekend.

Banool Garden is located on the lands of the Wurundjeri People. Open Gardens Victoria wish to acknowledge the Traditional custodians of this land and we pay respect to their Elders, past, present and emerging.
