Instagram Live - 'A walk in the garden' with Virginia Heywood

Click on the link above to watch the video and join Stephen Read as he chats with Virginia as she walks us around her amazing gardens in the Dandenongs.

While we waited for Virginia to come online, Stephen took us on a surprise walk around Deborah Hambleton’s lovely garden.

Virginia connects after a small technical glitch and our tour begins. Unfortunately the weather has hidden the view of the Yarra Ranges, but as we walk around the garden with Virginia we see she has planted an immense variety of plants including 31 different camelias, clematis, poppies in the veggie patch, salvias loved by the birds, a variety of natives, a 5-6 year old dogwood covered in beautiful white flowers, a native frangipani, a Styrax japonicus in white delicate flower, a smoke bush, pomegranate hedge, rose garden.
See her lovely pool settled into the landscape with a variety of flowers, grasses, and fruit trees. The list goes on and on, but click on the link and take the tour and hear about her ISO project too.

You'll find the full video recordings of all of our past Instagram Live events on our Past Garden Openings page.
